At 105 years old, Clarence Griffith is north Texas’ oldest volunteer. Every week, he drives his own car to Baylor University Medical Center to volunteer his time to help patients and comfort families. His drive to volunteer began when he was 94 years old. He was a patient at Baylor, receiving a triple bypass, and recovering from the loss of his beloved wife. He channeled his loneliness into service and for the past ten years has been helping others—and himself.
